Why This Guide Matters

Sexual abuse affects boys at alarming rates: one in six will experience abuse before turning 18. Yet conversations around their safety and healing are often overlooked. Cultural myths, stigma, and silence can prevent boys from speaking out or receiving the support they need. This guide was created to empower parents, caregivers, and educators with practical tools. These tools help protect boys, recognize signs of abuse, and foster open, age-appropriate conversations about body safety and boundaries. By breaking the silence and challenging harmful norms, we can create safer environments where boys feel seen, heard, and supported.

This project was inspired by the courageous story of Ryan Michael Gray and the unwavering advocacy of his family. It was made possible through the generous support of the Ryan Gray Foundation, whose commitment to awareness, education, and healing continues to make a lasting impact in our community.
