There are several ways you can financially donate to STAR…

Donating to STAR

STAR is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization... your donation to STAR is tax deductible

By joining the Constellation Club with a recurring gift, you allow STAR to create effective strategies to meet known needs, achieve higher goals and maximize productivity. Knowing a specified amount of funding is expected to come in each month takes the guesswork out of what we can afford, allowing STAR to focus on meeting the needs of survivors.  To provide unique and customized services to our clients, STAR needs donations from our community. While we are frequently surprised by the generosity of people throughout the community and the state of Alaska, it is more effective for STAR to have consistent donations coming in to create plans with our funding for the current needs of our clients. A contribution of $25 could provide a new pair of sweatpants for a survivor whose clothes were taken as evidence. $50 can pay for an Advocate’s support to a family as they testify about their child’s sexual abuse, and a donation of $100 provides counseling sessions for an adult survivor who needs long-term support to begin their process of healing and coping with the trauma from a sexual assault. You too can make more of an impact on the community with sustainable giving. Recurring contributions may not impact your monthly budget, and may not seem like much in the beginning, but over time they make a huge and lasting difference.
