Criminal Law
- Support and Advocacy during reporting to law enforcement or anonymous victim reporting
- Support and Advocacy during investigative procedures (ie., glass or body wires)
- Referral to Office of Victim Rights (OVR)
- Assistance preparing Violent Crime Compensation Board applications
- Accompaniment to meetings with the District Attorney
- Court accompaniment to Grand Jury, Bail hearings, Evidentiary hearings, Jury Trial, Sentencing, etc.
- Assistance with preparing and delivery of Victim Impact Statement
Protective Orders
- Advocacy for law enforcement 72 hour emergency Protective Orders
- Assistance preparing and submitting Protective Order petitions
- Court accompaniment to both ex parte and long term hearings
Family Law
- Referral to Pro Bono attorneys:
¬ Alaska Network on Domestic Violence and Sexual Assault Legal Advocacy Project
¬ Alaska Legal Services
¬ Alaska Bar Association Pro Bono Program
Civil Lawsuits
- Referral to recommended attorneys with experience in Sexual Assault cases; generally at no initial cost to client, but including a percentage of any monetary awards to client at end of case to cover legal filings and time spent preparing the case for trial

The mission of Standing Together Against Rape, Inc., (STAR) is to provide the best quality of crisis intervention, education and advocacy services to victims of sexual assault and sexual abuse, and their families and our community.
