CHANGING ALASKA, ONE CALL AT A TIME.
Crisis Line Training is offered free of charge to adults 18 and over with no violent criminal history. A one year commitment of 3 shifts a month is required as well as access to internet and email. Monthly meetings available for trained Volunteers to keep you updated and connected.
Crisis Line coverage is needed during week day evenings, weekends, and holidays. You schedule your own shifts through our online system!
FALL 2012 Training
Orientation Dates:
**All interested participants must attend one evening
Monday, August 27 6p-8p at STAR
Wednesday, September 5 6p-8p at STAR
Training Dates:
**All intersted participants must attend every training session
Saturday, September 15 9a-5p at STAR
Monday-Thursday September 17-20 6p-9:30p at STAR
Saturday, September 22 9a-5p at STAR
Applicants must attend all sessions to be covered by Alaskan "Priveledge Statute" which provides protection and confidentiality to adult callers.
